So the problem remains unresolved for now.Įdited by PanamaJim, 09 June 2014 - 11:41 PM. The fact that I am accessing the cam with the app via DynDNS is a positive in so far as it proves that the camera CAN be accessed this way. I am only mentioning the App because it shows that the cam is working and can be accessed via the DynDNS address. Re Android, there may be other apps that don't require DYNDNS, but I don't mind because this one works very well for me as I have also Foscam cams in the LAN and it handles all cams equally well.

And it did work before with my pc!įurthermore, while I did the test with the remote pc (Win7 - 64) via logmein, I downloaded the plugin from wanscam to both the local and remote PC, but it did not install because it was already installed. The effect in its absence is not that the browser does not find the webpage (or server), you just don't get an image. As I said, I have been able to see the cam in the browser before. I don't think it's the ocx because I remember well that at the first attempt to connect, the browser required its installation and I installed it. Unfortunately this is one of the languages that I don't speak. I clicked on your PC link, but it was all in chinese. If you are using IE you must install the "Ocx Steup.msi" included on your CD.

The JW and HW models do not need the port forwarding, you could use the QR Code in the e-View 7 app for your mobile.

Very much looks like a general browser problem (IE and Chrome) as I continue to see it via the Android app.Įdited by PanamaJim, 09 June 2014 - 09:56 PM. I cannot even see it with the browser on a local computer, using its LAN IP. This is strange because I use the exact same URL and port like in Android and I used the same before when it worked.Įdit: Just tried to see the cam in its LAN by connecting to a local pc via LogmeIin. The browser waits an eternity and then says cannot find the page. But no way to use a browser, although it did work with IE10 before. The strange thing is that I have installed the "tin圜am Monitor" in two Android devices and I can see the camera in both devices and control the PTZ, listen to the sound (cannot record video, though). Reset again, installed and then I had to leave the country and now I cannot connect from abroad with my PC. Worked fine but after a few days again no connection. While I was still on site, I reset the camera and installed it again. It worked well for a while via DNDNS but suddenly one day it did not connect anymore via the Browser (using IE10 and Chrome). I have a Wanscam JW0004, correctly set up for remote viewing, with port forwarding and everything necessary. Hi guys, after ploughing through most of this thread, I have not yet found the solution of my problem. Please let me know your comments and suggestions. => Provides a secure remote location for your images in case of equipment theft or damage. No static IP address or dynamic DNS requirements.

Try the demo or create a free account at .uk/CamAlert It can be left running all day in a spare browser tab or in a separate Chrome ‘application mode’ instance using the -app comand line option.Ī noise will be sounded when the camera is triggered allowing you to review the cause. It has been designed with the primary goals of alerting the user to new events and ease of access to historical events. It provides Alert Notification and access to historical Trigger Events using nothing more than a Web Browser. I'm currently looking for beta testers and am offering free accounts for the moment. Too many nuisance alerts and too many pictures to sort through.Īs a solution to this I wrote a handy Ip cam FTP web service that generates alerts to a web browser. I've always found the IP cam email alert experience too awkward.
